Sidlaghatta : ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ನಗರದ ವಾಯುಪುತ್ರ ವೆಜ್ ಹೋಟೆಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ 71ನೇ ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಹಾಗೂ ಆವರಣವನ್ನು ಕೆಂಪು-ಹಳದಿ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಬಲೂನ್‌ಗಳು, ಕನ್ನಡ ಧ್ವಜಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹೂವಿನ ಅಲಂಕಾರಗಳಿಂದ ಸಿಂಗರಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಯಿ ಭುವನೇಶ್ವರಿ ದೇವಿಯ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಪೂಜೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಬಳಿಕ ನೆರೆದಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಹಿ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಮಾಲೀಕ ಕೌಶಿಕ್, ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ, ನಾಡು-ನುಡಿ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗನ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಬಳಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿಮಾನವನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೂ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸಂತಸ ತಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಮಂಡಲ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸೀಕಲ್ ಆನಂದ್ ಗೌಡ, ಚಿಮುಲ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಬಂಕ್ ಮುನಿಯಪ್ಪ, ಹುಜುಗೂರು ರಾಮಯ್ಯ, ಚೇತನ್, ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್, ಪ್ರದೀಪ್, ವಿಜಯೇಂದ್ರ, ಚಿನ್ನಿ, ಮೋಹನ್, ಸಂಜಯ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಮುಖಂಡರು, ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

The 71st Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated at the Vayuputra Veg Hotel in Sidlaghatta town. The hotel building and premises were decorated with red-and-yellow balloons, Kannada flags and flowers. The programme began with flower offerings and a puja before the portrait of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari, followed by distribution of sweets. Hotel owner Kaushik said preserving and nurturing the Kannada language, land, culture and heritage is every Kannadiga’s responsibility and that pride in Kannada should be passed on to the next generation. BJP Rural Mandal president Seekal Anand Gowda, CHIMUL director Bunk Muniyappa, Hujugur Ramaiah and other local leaders, hotel staff and customers attended.
