Sidlaghatta : ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಆಡಳಿತ, ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಸ್ವೀಪ್ ಸಮಿತಿ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೋಟೆವೃತ್ತದವರೆಗೂ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಸಂಜೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತದಾನ ಜಾಗೃತಿಗಾಗಿ ಮೋಂಬತ್ತಿ ಬೆಳಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಮುನಿರಾಜ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರವಾಗಿ ಮತ ಚಲಾಯಿಸಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮಗೆ ಸರಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ನೋಟಾ ಮತವನ್ನಾದರೂ ಚಲಾಯಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಮತದಾನದ ಹಕ್ಕು ಚಲಾಯಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ತಮಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಯ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇದೆ. ಅರ್ಹ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗೆ ಮತ ಚಲಾಯಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಗ್ರಾಮ, ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು, ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ, ರಾಜ್ಯ, ದೇಶದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕಳಿಸುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ತಹಶೀಲ್ದಾರ್ ಬಿ.ಎನ್.ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಅರ್ಹ ಮತದಾರರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮತದಾನದ ಹಕ್ಕನ್ನು ಚಲಾಯಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಯುವ ಮತದಾರರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಗೆಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮತದಾನದ ಹಕ್ಕನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Candlelight Procession to Promote Voting Awareness

Sidlaghatta : On Monday evening, the Sidlaghatta taluk administration organized a candlelight procession from Taluk Panchayat to Kote Circle in the city to raise awareness about the importance of voting. The procession was led by the Taluk Panchayat Chief Executive Officer, Muniraja, and was attended by several students.

During the procession, Muniraja emphasized the importance of choosing the best candidates through independent voting in a democratic system. He urged the citizens to exercise their right to vote and consider voting for the Nota option if they do not find any suitable candidate.

Tehsildar BN Swamy also stressed the significance of every eligible voter exercising their right to vote. He encouraged young voters to add their names to the voter list to ensure they have the opportunity to participate in the democratic process.

The event was attended by several other officials, including Municipal Commissioner R. Srikanth, Social Welfare Department Officer Jagadish, CDPO Navtaj, BC Food Assistant Director Anjaneya, Agriculture Department Veena, BCM Hostel Narayanappa, Silk Department Thimmaraju, and Field Education Officer Narendrakumar.
