Hittalahalli, sidlaghatta : ನೂರಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಉಳಿಸಿದಂತಹ ಕೆರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೂ ಉಳಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಸಿ.ಎಸ್.ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಆನೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮೂರು ನಮ್ಮ ಕೆರೆ ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿ (549ನೇ ಕೆರೆ) ಹಿತ್ತಲಹಳ್ಳಿ ಕೆರೆ ಹೂಳೆತ್ತುವ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗೆ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಗುದ್ದಲಿ ಪೂಜೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗಾಲೇ 548 ಕೆರೆಗಳ ಹೂಳೆತ್ತುವ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 18 ಕೆರೆ ಹಾಗು ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈವರೆಗೂ 4 ಕೆರೆಗಳ ಹೂಳೆತ್ತುವ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಮುಗಿದಿದೆ. 5 ನೆಯ ಕೆರೆಯ ಹೂಳೆತ್ತುವ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಇದಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಳೆತ್ತುವ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗೆ 15 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ ಹಣ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 20 ಸಾವಿರ ಲೋಡು ಫಲವತ್ತಾದ ಮಣ್ಣು ರೈತರು ತಮ್ಮ ಜಮೀನುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯಬಹುದು. ಇದರ ಮೂಲ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಕೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದರಿಂದ ಅಂತರ್ಜಲ ವೃದ್ದಿಯಾಗಿ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಕೃಷಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನೀರು ನಿಂತಾಗ, ಜನರಿಗಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಜಾನುವಾರುಗಳಿಗೆ, ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ರಾಜ್ಯ ರೈತ ಸಂಘ ಹಾಗು ಹಸಿರುಸೇನೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಭಕ್ತರಹಳ್ಳಿ ಬೈರೇಗೌಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಕೆರೆಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳು ನಾಡಿನ ಜೀವನಾಡಿ. ರೈತಾಪಿ ಜನರ ಉಸಿರು. ಇವನ್ನು ಈಗಂತೂ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಆಗದು. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಇರುವುದನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೇಬೇಕು. ನಮ್ಮೂರು ನಮ್ಮ ಕೆರೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಡಿ ಕೆರೆಯ ಹೂಳೆತ್ತಿ ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮರುಜೀವ ನೀಡಿ ಊರಿನವರಿಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕೆರೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವ, ಅಗತ್ಯತೆ, ಕೆರೆ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಕುರಿತ ಜಾಗೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಅಪೂರ್ವ ಕೆಲಸ ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಯೋಜನಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಬಿ.ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್‌ಕುಮಾರ್, ಆನೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಬಿ.ಎನ್.ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ್, ಪಿಡಿಓ ಕಾತ್ಯಾಯಿನಿ, ರೈತ ಮುಖಂಡರಾದ ತಾದೂರು ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್, ಬೆಳ್ಳೂಟಿ ಮುನಿಕೆಂಪಣ್ಣ, ಮುನಿನಂಜಪ್ಪ, ರಮೇಶ್, ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.


SKDRDP Works to Preserve Ancient Lakes for Future Generations

Hittalahalli, sidlaghatta : The Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) is actively engaged in preserving ancient lakes for future generations. According to C.S. Prashanth, the District Director of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project, the organization is working in partnership with Anur Gram Panchayat of the taluk under the Nammur Namma Kere Yojana to dredge the Hittalahalli Lake, the 549th lake in the program.

Guddali Puja was performed on Monday to mark the commencement of dredging work for the lake. With 548 lakes already dredged in the state, 18 lakes in the district, and 4 lakes in the taluk, this is the 5th lake to undergo dredging. The organization has allocated INR 15 lakhs for the project, which will provide about 20 thousand loads of fertile soil to farmers for their fields.

The primary objective of the project is to increase ground water and enable farmers to cultivate their fields. Moreover, it will benefit not only humans but also cattle and birds when the water stops stagnating.

Bhaktarahalli Byregowda, the General Secretary of the State Farmers’ Association and Green Army, emphasized that lakes are the lifeline and breath of peasant people in the country. As a result, preservation of existing lakes is crucial. He applauded the unique efforts of the Dharmasthala Village Development Project in raising awareness about the significance and conservation of lakes by dredging them under the lake program and transferring them to local villagers.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including B.Prakashkumar, Project Officer of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Village Development Project, Anur Gram Panchayat Vice President B.N.Viswas, PDO Katyayini, and Farmer Leaders Taduru Manjunath, Belluti Munikempanna, Muninanjappa, Ramesh, and Venkatesh.
