Sidlaghatta : ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಸ್ವೀಪ್ ಸಮಿತಿ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಪಂಜಿನ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಮತದಾನದ ಅರಿವು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಚುನಾವಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಜಾವಿದ ನಸೀಮಾ ಖಾನಮ್ ರವರು ಪಂಜಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಚ್ಚಿ, ತಮಟೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿನೂತನ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಮೇ ೧೦ ರಂದು ಸಾರ್ವತ್ರಿಕ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದ್ದು ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ತಪ್ಪದೇ ಮತದಾನ ಮಾಡಿ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ೧೮ ವರ್ಷ ಮೇಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರು ನೋಂದಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ತಿದ್ದುಪಡಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಖಾತ್ರಿ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ನಗರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ರಸ್ತೆ-ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತದಾನ ಕುರಿತು ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಪಂಜಿನ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಚುನಾವಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಜಾವಿದ ನಸೀಮಾ ಖಾನಮ್, ತಾ.ಪಂ ಇಓ, ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಸ್ವೀಪ್ ಸಮಿತಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜಿ.ಮುನಿರಾಜ, ತಹಸೀಲ್ದಾರ್ ಬಿ.ಎನ್.ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ನರೇಗಾ ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಚಂದ್ರಪ್ಪ, ನಗರಸಭೆ ಪೌರಾಯುಕ್ತ ಆರ್.ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್, ಸಿಡಿಪಿಓ ನೌತಾಜ್, ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ತಿಮ್ಮರಾಜು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಮಟ್ಟದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ವಿವಿಧ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯವರು, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರರು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.
Electoral Officer Sets Fire to Flag in Innovative Voting Awareness Program
The Electoral Officer for the Sidlaghatta Taluk Assembly Constituency, Javida Naseema Khanam, has taken an innovative approach to create voting awareness ahead of the upcoming general election on May 10. Khanam initiated a flag march on behalf of the Sidlaghatta Taluk Sweep Committee, during which they set fire to the torch and beating drums to grab the attention of the public.
The program aimed to remind citizens of their constitutional duty to vote correctly and protect democracy. All individuals above the age of 18 should register and correct their names in the electoral roll. The awareness program was conducted on major roads and streets in the city, with various officers and staff from implementing departments present.
The Taluk Electoral Officer was joined by the Taluk EO, Taluk Sweep Committee Chairman G. Muniraja, Tehsildar B. N. Swamy, Narega Assistant Director Chandrappa, Municipal Councilor R. Srikanth, CDPO Nautaj, Assistant Director of Silk Department Timmaraju, and other officers during the Panji procession.
Overall, the initiative serves as a reminder for citizens to participate in the democratic process and exercise their right to vote.
