News

We report what we learn from our own work, readers and public sources, and we correct mistakes when we find them (look for the “Corrected” note on a story). Stories sent in by readers are reviewed but the views in them are the contributors’ own.

Silk cocoon rates and the price calculator

Rates are as reported by the cocoon market and may be revised. The calculator is a simple estimate from the average rate. Your actual price depends on quality, lot and day. Always confirm at the market before you sell. We are not responsible for any trading decision.

Weather

Forecasts come from Open-Meteo and are for general information only. Do not use them for safety-critical decisions.

Events and notices

Events are sent by readers and organisers and checked by us, but dates, times and venues can change. Please confirm with the organisers.

Advertisements and links

Ads are marked “Advertisement” and are placed by Google AdSense or by us. Appearing here is not our endorsement. We are not responsible for other sites we link to.
