Appegowdanahalli, Sidlaghatta : ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ನೀಡುವ ಅಕ್ಕಿ ಮತ್ತು ಗೋಧಿ ಬಳಸುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪೋಷಕರ ಸಹಕಾರ ಇರುವ ಕಡೆ ರಾಗಿ ಪಡೆದು ಮುದ್ದೆ ಸಹ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಅಪ್ಪೇಗೌಡನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಮವಾರ ರಾಗಿಯ ಹಿಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ “ರಾಗಿ ಶಾವಿಗೆ” ತಯಾರಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅದರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಲ್ಲ, ಹಸಿಕೊಬ್ಬರಿ, ಕಡ್ಲೇಪೊಪ್ಪು, ಕಡ್ಲೇಬೀಜ ಹಾಕಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಯಸವೂ ಜೊತೆಗೂಡಿತ್ತು.

“ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಮುಗಿದವು. ನಾಳೆಯಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ರಜೆ. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಹೊಸ ರಾಗಿ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ಇತ್ತು. ನಮ್ಮ ಅಡುಗೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಮಂಜುಳಮ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಮುನಿರತ್ನಮ್ಮ “ರಾಗಿ ಶಾವಿಗೆ” ತಯಾರಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎಸ್.ಡಿ.ಎಂ.ಸಿ ಸದಸ್ಯೆಯರಾದ ಪುಷ್ಪ, ನಾರಾಯಣಮ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ನೀಲಮ್ಮ ಅವರು ನೆರವಾದರು. ಪೋಷಕರ ಮನೆಗಳಿಂದ ಶಾವಿಗೆ ಒತ್ತುವ ಯಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದು ಸುಮಾರು 250 ಶಾವಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿದರು” ಎಂದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಎಂ.ವಿ.ವೆಂಕಟರತ್ನಮ್ಮ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

“ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ತಿಂಡಿ ತಿನಿಸು ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ನಿರ್ಬಂಧವಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎಷ್ಟು ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದು. 50 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, 5 ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಪೋಷಕರು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟು ತಿಂದರು” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಚಾಂದ್ ಪಾಷ, ಸುಜಾತ, ಮಾಲಾಶ್ರೀ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.


Appegowdanahalli Government School Prepares Special Ragi Dish for Students

Appegowdanahalli, Sidlaghatta : On Monday, Appegowdanahalli Government Senior Primary School in the taluk prepared a special dish called “Ragi Shavige” using ragi flour, accompanied by a stew made with jaggery, hasikobbari, kadlepoppu, and kadlebija. The school typically uses rice and wheat provided by the government, but with the cooperation of parents, millet is sometimes obtained and Ragi mudde is made.

Head teacher M. V. Venkataratnamma stated that all exams at the school were finished, and as a holiday was approaching, fresh millet flour was given by the villagers. The kitchen staff, Manjulamma and Munirathnamma, proposed to prepare “Ragi shavige,” which they made with the help of SDMC members Pushpa, Narayanamma, and Anganwadi staff Neelamma. They brought shavige pressing machines from their parents’ homes and made around 250 shaviges.

According to Venkataratnamma, there are no restrictions on eating any kind of snack in the school, and children can eat as much as they want. Around 50 students, 5 Anganwadi children, parents, and teachers all enjoyed the dish.

Teachers Chand Pasha, Sujata, and Malashree were also present at the event.
