Sidlaghatta : ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ನಗರದ ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಸುತ್ತ ವೃತ್ತಾಕಾರದ ಪ್ರಭಾವಳಿ (ಹ್ಯಾಲೊ) ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯಿತು.
In English: A rare circular halo appeared around the sun in the sky over Sidlaghatta on Friday morning, drawing the attention of residents who captured the sight on their phones. Experts say the phenomenon is caused by sunlight refracting through high-altitude ice crystals, similar to an earlier rainbow sighting in the taluk.
ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಬಿಳಿ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಉಂಗುರದಂತೆ ಗೋಚರಿಸಿದ ಈ ಅಪರೂಪದ ದೃಶ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹಲವರು ಕುತೂಹಲದಿಂದ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು.
ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎತ್ತರದ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಹಿಮಸ್ಫಟಿಕಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಬೆಳಕು ವಕ್ರೀಭವನಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಇಂತಹ ಪ್ರಭಾವಳಿ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ತಜ್ಞರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೆಲಕಾಲ ಗೋಚರಿಸಿದ ಈ ದೃಶ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಮೊಬೈಲ್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದರು.
