Sidlaghatta : ಕಚ್ಚಾ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಬೆಲೆ ದಿಢೀರ್ ಕುಸಿತದಿಂದ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿರುವ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಬೆಳೆಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಆಸರೆಯಾಗಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದು, ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಸಚಿವ ನಾರಾಯಣಗೌಡ ಅವರು ಕೆಎಸ್‌ಎಂಬಿ (ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಂಡಳಿ) ಮೂಲಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ರೈತರಿಂದ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಖರೀದಿಸಲು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕಳೆದ ಬುಧವಾರ ನಗರದ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಗೂಡಿನ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ದಾಸ್ತಾನು ಬೆಲೆ ಕುಸಿದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರೈತ ಸಂಘದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಭಕ್ತರಹಳ್ಳಿ ಬೈರೇಗೌಡ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಬೆಳೆಗಾರರು ಹಾಗೂ ರೀಲರ್‌ಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸಭೆಯ ನಂತರ ನಿಯೋಗವು ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಆಯುಕ್ತರು ಮತ್ತು ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಸಚಿವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ವಿವರಿಸಲು ತೆರಳಿ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ಎಂ. ಬಿ ಮೂಲಕ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಖರೀದಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾನವಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಸೋಮವಾರ ವಿಧಾನಸೌಧದಲ್ಲಿ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಚಿವರು ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಗೂಡಿನ ಬೆಲೆ ದಿಢೀರ್ ಕುಸಿದಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪಡೆದರು. ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಬೆಲೆ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೂ ದಿಢೀರ್ ಬೆಲೆ ಕುಸಿತದಿಂದ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ತೊಂದರೆಯಾಗಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರವಾಗಿ ಕೆಎಸ್‌ಎಂಬಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಖರೀದಿಸುವಂತೆ ಸಚಿವರು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು.
ಕೆಎಸ್‌ಎಂಬಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಖರೀದಿ ನಾಳೆಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಲಿದ್ದು, ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಗೂಡಿನ ಬೆಲೆ ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಇದು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವರು ಆಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ, ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಹುಳು ಹಣ್ಣಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಸಚಿವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಹಾನಿಗೊಳಗಾದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ನಿಖರವಾದ ಕಾರಣವನ್ನು ವರದಿ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಬೆಳೆಗಾರರ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿರುವ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಸಚಿವರ ಕ್ಷಿಪ್ರ ಕ್ರಮವು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಉದ್ಯಮದ ಸ್ಥಿರತೆಯನ್ನು ಖಾತ್ರಿಪಡಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ರೈತರ ಹಾಗೂ ರೀಲರುಗಳ ಆತಂಕ ದೂರ ಮಾಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಕಾರದ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಬಹುಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲಿದ್ದು, ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಗೂಡಿನ ಧಾರಣೆ ಶೀಘ್ರ ಯಥಾಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಮರಳುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇದೆ.
Government support to distressed silk growers
Sidlaghatta : The Silk Minister Narayana Gowda has come forward to support the distressed silk growers who have been hit by the sudden fall in the price of raw silk. He has suggested that the government should buy raw silk from the farmers through KSMB (Karnataka Silk Marketing Board).
The farmers’ union, led by State General Secretary Bhaktarahalli Byregowda, held a meeting with silk growers and reelers after a sudden fall in stock at the silk loom market office in the city last Wednesday. Following the meeting, a delegation went to meet with the Silk Commissioner and the Silk Minister to explain the problem. K.S.M. Manavi was then instructed to buy silk through B.
On Monday, the Minister held a meeting with the officials of the silk department at Vidhansouda to get information about the sudden fall in the price of silk cocoons. He was informed that the price had been stable for the last two years, and the sudden fall in price should not be a problem for the farmers for any reason. The Minister suggested buying raw silk through KSMB as a solution to the problem.
The purchase of raw silk through KSMB is set to begin from tomorrow, and the Minister hopes that this will help stabilize the price of silk cocoon. He has instructed officials to take necessary steps in this regard.
The Minister has also been informed about the non-fruiting of silkworms in Chikkaballapur and Sidlaghatta areas. He has instructed scientists from the silk department to immediately visit the affected areas and report the exact reason for the problem. Necessary measures will be taken to address the issue.
The Silk Minister’s swift action in response to the distress of the silk growers is a positive step towards ensuring the stability of the silk industry in the state. The government’s support will go a long way in alleviating the concerns of the farmers and reelers, and it is hoped that the price of silk cocoon will soon return to normalcy.
