ಪತ್ತೆಯಾದ ಕೆಲವು ಬಾಟಲಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ “Physician’s Sample (ವೈದ್ಯರ ಮಾದರಿ) – Not to be Sold” ಎಂದು ಮುದ್ರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

In English: Hundreds of medicine bottles, syrups, expired drugs and ORS packets were found dumped at Gowdana Kere, one of Sidlaghatta town’s key water bodies, where biomedical and hospital waste had previously been reported. Some bottles were marked “Physician’s Sample – Not to be Sold,” and some ORS packets carried Karnataka Health Department “Not for Sale” markings, raising suspicion the waste was brought in from elsewhere and dumped in bulk; the source is yet to be established through investigation. Residents also noted two cattle belonging to a local resident died separately about four days earlier, though no link to the waste has been confirmed. This is not the first time waste has been dumped at the lake — the municipality had issued a notice over hospital waste disposal there previously. Locals are demanding the source be traced, safe disposal, and CCTV surveillance to catch illegal dumping.
