Sidlaghatta : ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆ ಉಳಿಯಲು ಹಾಗೂ ರೈತರು ಮತ್ತು ರೀಲರುಗಳು ಈಗಿನ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಬರಲು, ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ರೇಷ್ಮೆಯನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಕಚ್ಚಾ ರೇಷ್ಮೆಯನ್ನು ಅಡಮಾನವಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಹಣ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ರೈತ ಸಂಘದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಭಕ್ತರಹಳ್ಳಿ ಬೈರೇಗೌಡ ಅವರು ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಗೌಡ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ನಾಗಭೂಷಣ್ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಬೆಳೆಗಾರರು ಹಾಗೂ ರೀಲರುಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಆಯುಕ್ತರ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮನವಿಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಒಂದು ಕೇ.ಜಿ. ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಗೂಡಿನ ಸರಾಸರಿ ಧಾರಣೆ 675 ರೂ ಇತ್ತು. ಇವತ್ತು 400 ರೂ ಗೆ ಕುಸಿದಿದೆ. ಕಚ್ಚಾ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಕೂಡ ಒಂದು ಕೇ.ಜಿ ಗೆ 5,500 ರೂ ಇದ್ದದ್ದು 3,600 ರೂಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಈ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆಯ ಎರಡು ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಾದ ರೈತರು ಮತ್ತು ರೀಲರುಗಳು ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಬಗೆಹರಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಮೂಲಕ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಖರೀದಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.
ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 21,443 ಹೆಕ್ಟೇರ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ 1106 ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 18,662 ಮಂದಿ ರೈತರು ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಕೃಷಿಯನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದೂಕಾಲು ಕೋಟಿ ಜನರು ವಿವಿಧ ಹಂತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಅವಲಂಬಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತಾವುಗಳು ವಸ್ತುಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಅರಿತು ಈ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ನಂಬಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ರೈತರಾದ ತಾದೂರು ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್, ಮುನಿನಂಜಪ್ಪ, ಎಚ್.ಕೆ.ರಮೇಶ್, ದೇವರಾಜ್, ಕೆಂಪಣ್ಣ, ನಾಗರಾಜ್, ವೇಣುಗೋಪಾಲ್, ಏಜಾಜ್ ರೀಲರುಗಳ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಅನ್ಸರ್ ಖಾನ್, ಅನ್ವರ್ ಸಾಬ್, ಆನಂದಕುಮಾರ್, ಜಿ.ರೆಹಮಾನ್, ಫಾರೂಕ್, ಮುಜಾಹಿದ್ ಪಾಷ, ಕುಚ್ಚಣ್ಣ ಅನಂತು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.
Karnataka Farmers Union urges government to intervene in Silk Industry crisis
Sidlaghatta : The State General Secretary of the Farmers Union, Bhaktarahalli Byregowda, has called upon the government to intervene in the silk industry to ensure its survival. Byregowda has urged the government to purchase raw silk through KSMB and provide financial assistance to farmers by keeping the raw silk as mortgage. He made this appeal during a petition submission to the Silk Commissioner Rajesh Gowda and Deputy Commissioner Nagbhushan.
The silk industry in Karnataka has been facing a crisis as the prices of raw silk have plummeted. The average holding of a silk cocoon has dropped from Rs 675 to Rs 400, while raw silk prices have fallen from Rs 5,500 to Rs 3,600 per kg. This has resulted in distress for both the farmers and the reelers in the industry.
Chikkaballapur district, which has 1106 villages spread across 21,443 hectares, has 18,662 farmers who depend on sericulture. Additionally, around one and a quarter crore people across the state are dependent on this industry at various levels. Byregowda has emphasized the need for the government to support the silk industry and help those who believe in this enterprise.
A group of farmers, including Tadoor Manjunath, Muninanjappa, HK Ramesh, Devaraj, Kempanna, and Nagaraj, along with reelers, including Ansar Khan, Anwar Saab, Anand Kumar, G. Rahman, Farooq, Mujahid Pasha, and Kuchchanna Ananthu, were present during the petition submission to the Silk Commissioner’s office.
