Sidlaghatta : ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತದಾನ ಆಗಿರುವ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರ್ತಿಸಿ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಭಾರಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತದಾನ ಆಗುವಂತೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಎಲ್ಲ ರೀತಿಯ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಮುಂಜಾಗ್ರತೆ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಚುನಾವಣಾಕಾರಿ ಜಾವಿದಾ ನಸೀಮಾ ಖಾನಂ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ದರ್ಜೇ ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಸಿದ್ದಾರ್ಥನಗರದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ಸಖಿ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಉಲ್ಲೂರುಪೇಟೆಯ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ವಿಕಲಚೇತನ ಮತದಾರ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು.

ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ನಗರಸಭೆ ಪೌರಾಯುಕ್ತ ಆರ್.ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್ ಅವರು ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಖಿ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆ, ವಿಕಲಚೇತನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಗಳ ರೂಪುರೇಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮತದಾರರಿಗೆ ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚುನಾವಣಾಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

ಸಖಿ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಮತದಾರ ತಾಯಂದಿರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕೆಲ ಕಾಲ ಆಟ ಆಡಲು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗತ್ಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ ಹಾಕಲು ಬರುವ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಚುನಾವಣಾಕಾರಿ ಜಾವಿದಾ ನಸೀಮಾ ಖಾನಂ, ಮತದಾನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಖಿ, ವಿಕಲಚೇತನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಗಳ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವು ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಆಗಲಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಆಶಾಭಾವನೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಹಾಗೆಯೆ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲೂ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಕಡೆ ಸಖಿ, ವಿಕಲಚೇತನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಪಾರಂಪರಿಕ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರ್ತಿಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರಂಪರಿಕ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದರು.

ಈ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಕೃಷಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನವಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾರಣ ಈ ಪಾರಂಪರಿಕ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಗಳ ಬಳಿ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಕೃಷಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ವಸ್ತು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ, ಚಿತ್ರಬರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದು ಮತದಾರರ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ನಗರಸಭೆಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಕ ಮುರಳಿ, ಸುಧಾಕರ್, ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.

Electoral Officer Takes Measures to Increase Voter Turnout in Sidlaghatta

Sidlaghatta : Electoral Officer Javida Naseema Khanam has announced that all necessary precautions will be taken to ensure that polling booths with low turnout are identified and addressed in the upcoming assembly election in Sidlaghatta city. During a recent visit to several polling stations in the city, including the Sakhi Polling Stations at the Government First Class College, the Siddharth Nagar Government School, and the Handicapped Voter Friendly Polling Stations at the Ullurpet Government School, Khanam emphasized the importance of providing basic facilities to all voters, including those with disabilities.

Chief Officer R. Srikanth of Sidlaghatta CMC also highlighted the features of the Sakhi polling booth and disabled-friendly polling booths, and spoke about efforts to increase voter turnout, including providing facilities for children of voter mothers to play games while their mothers cast their ballots.

Khanam expressed hope that the construction of these Sakhi and disabled-friendly polling booths will help increase voter turnout not just in Sidlaghatta city but also in rural areas. Traditional polling stations will also be constructed after identifying Sakhi, disabled-friendly polling booths, and heritage buildings in many places.

Khanam further noted that since sericulture is predominant in the region, material related to sericulture will be displayed near these traditional polling stations to attract the attention of voters. The municipal health inspectors Murali, Sudhakar, and Prasanna were also present during the visit.
